We cannot always control what happens to us, but we can always decide how we react to it. Recently I’ve heard many stories from people, who are only complaining how life treats them badly. Almost none of them wants to realize that they have the choice to react on life whichever way they want to. Everyone has their struggles, small or big, but it is all about your reaction to those struggles, to decide what the final outcome will be.
My blogs right now will most probably be a reaction to my Next-Level blog, in which I told about me wanting to go next-level, and don’t want to be hold back by things or people. In that blog I also wrote about that I am more than willing to listen to the stories of people, but that my opinion is that you someday must make the decision to improve your own situation. What good will it do to you to keep repeating that same story, over and over again, and don’t do anything to improve your situation, mindset, or mental health? Even the people who are the most willingly to really listen to you, and provide you good advice, will get annoyed when they constantly need to hear and repeat the same thing. This may sound harsh, but it is the truth.
So there is a time to share whatever is bothering you, but the next step is to take action yourself. People will listen and give advice. Do something with that advice. Of course not everything will be fixed in a short matter of time, but choose to take action. It won’t benefit you when you keep on dwelling through a certain bad situation or emotion. Choose to take action to improve on that situation, and maybe even learn from it. Something good can come out from a bad situation, when you choose to take the actions to improve something.
It is difficult to figure out what amount of time you should give yourself, to process a certain situation before you take action. When is it enough? Is there a certain time for that? I think that doesn’t even depend on the specific situation, but that it all depends on you. When you get the feeling, that now it is the time for improvement, then start the journey immediately. Don’t wait a day, a week, or a month, but start taking action right now. I noticed myself that when I wait even for a short period of time, it could happen that I fall back to the bad vibes again. So now, when I start to get the feeling to improve the situation, I try to do that as soon as I can. That way I stay motivated, and then the good vibes will take control again.
